Zotac D2700-ITX WiFi Supreme: HTPC Motherboard

The Chinese manufacturer has unveiled a Zotac D2700-ITX WiFi Supreme motherboard intended to be mounted on an HTPC setup.

Mini-ITX sized (17 x 17 cm), it includes, first of all, a dual core Intel Atom D2700 at 2.13 GHz (it is soldered) processor and two DDR3-1066 slots for up to 4 GB RAM.

It then proposes a nVIDIA GeForce GT 520 solution with 512MB of shared memory (taken from system memory) or a PCI-Express x16 for graphics, while it has a 7.1 high-definition solution for audio .

To complete, it offers to the wired Gigabit Ethernet, WLAN Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity, two SATA 2 ports, two USB 3.0, up to six USB 2.0 ports (four at the rear panel and two in-front) and a PS2 port.

One of the more interesting aspects of the board is its huge CPU cooler – unusual for an Atom board. There are no RPM specs on the fan on ZOTAC’s site, but it’s assumed that it’d be a near-silent offering, given the board is designed for HTPC use. Overall though, this looks like one of the best ITX boards ever to be released.

Nothing has yet filtered into the price and availability here.
