XBMC Android: Media Center application available for download

A few months after the announcement of an Android version of XBMC,  the developers of the XBMC Team have finally released a beta 2 of XBMC 12 Frodo with several optimizations and fixes, giving  the opportunity to use the Media Center application on your smartphone or tablet, but also on the OUYA console.

You can still use the app on any Android device, with the sole condition that it must support the NEON extension, which excludes the Tegra 2 smartphones or tablets. A compatibility list is available at this address. This version is also not compatible with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, you will have to wait for the beta 3.

In addition to the patches, beta 2 also provides support for the Xbox 360. To download the application (. apk file), you should go just below, while clearly indicating in advance the Android parameters in your device that you accept the installation of applications from unknown sources.

You may download the XBMC Android at xbmc.org.
