Launched by Samsung at CES 2012 in Las Vegas, the UN55ES8000 represents the high end TV from Samsung. On the agenda: improving the dynamic backlight system (‘ultimate’ micro-dimming) and, especially, voice and gestures control. The image quality have been improved?

Samsung UN40D6500 Review
After enjoying success with its D8000 and D7000 televisions, Samsung’s latest offering is the new D6500, also available as the white D6510. It’s a more affordable 3D TV with Edge LED backlighting, and has most of the same features as its big brothers, including the Smart TV interface giving access to online content including social networks, app downloads, videos and general surfing. It also has some advanced technology that should allow it to produce an exceptionally good picture.

Vizio XVT 3D CinemaWide: 58-inch cinema directly to your home
It seems that Philips is not the only betting on 21:9 format, since the Vizio official announces the XVT 3D CinemaWide, a screen that provides the cinema ratio on a screen of no less than 58 inches . The resolution of this LED screen reaches 2560 x 1080 pixels with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, which results in a reproduction of Blu-ray content or other widescreen formats without showing the screen’s black bars.
For other sources of image with 16:9 aspect ratio, the manufacturer took the spaces to put Yahoo widgets, without invading these images on the screen. Its price in the U.S. is $3,499, and it is expected that Vizio launches the 50 and 71 inches versions of this TV.
