Toshiba Regza 55X3: 4K 3D TV Without Glasses

Toshiba has released its auto-stereoscopic 3D display at 4K resolution in Japan to reach a technophiles audience for the holiday season.

There is already television sets with active or passive 3D technology, but only a few models can claim to display the visual effects without glasses. However, manufacturers such as LG and Philips are starting to follow up their announcements on the subject.

The Japanese manufacturer Toshiba has already announced its Regza 55X3 TV last October. Available since December 10, 2011 in Japan, trying to impress the lovers of beautiful images.

Indeed, the 55-inch screen offers a 4K resolution (3840 x 2160 pixels), which allows you to enjoy superb quality for compatible programs. The TV also offers a 3D viewing without using glasses. Lenticular technology adopted by the manufacturer based on nine angles, which is honorable, even if the Philips model outperforms these possibilities.

Note also that the use of 3D mode drops the image resolution to 1280 x 720 pixels. The price of this high-end product is relatively high, as indicated in 900 000 yen, or about $11,500 in the US.
