Intel is preparing to release a new Atom. The D2550 will be at the junction between the D2500 and D2700 that came out last September. The roadmap published on hwbot.org who released the list of Ivy Bridge processors planned for 2012 also confirms the existence of this new nettop processor.
A new interesting Cedar Trail
According to CPU World, the D2550 is a dual core Atom processor clocked at 1.86 GHz. It would have 1 MB of L2 cache and a TDP of 10W, just as the D2500. Planned for the first quarter of 2012, it joined the Hyper-Threading Technology and an IGP running at 640 MHz, as the D2700. It should therefore be particularly interesting in the HTPC configurations.
For the record, these processors belong to the Cedar Trail family. Engraved in 32 nm, it includes an DirectX 10.1 IGP in its nettop version.
