Streacom FC8: the perfectly silent home theater PC

How to Get a totally silent Home Media PC? Streacom attempts to answer.

To enjoy a home theater PC (or HTPC), that’s fine. Having a quiet HTPC is better. This is what the Streacom manufacturer promises with FC8 box. This tower provides absolute silence with its huge aluminum heatsink. Located on the side, it is directly connected to the processor internally.

The case can dissipate up to 65W without any fans. Sufficient for the AMD Fusion FM1 socket A4 or A6 type, but also the small Sandy Bridge as the Core-i3.

The manufacturer has thought of everything. The power of 150W at Pico-PSU is fanless. More than enough for a HTPC or basic needs.

Next, the characteristics: The case is 100% aluminum and measures 240 x 250 x 100 mm (W x D x H). It can accommodate a mini-ITX motherboard and has a 2.5″ and 3.5″ slots . Two front USB ports, optical drive (with ”Eject” button on the left), the vital minimum is there.

The price of silence? $175 anyway. More info at streacom.com.
