Sony launches the first worldwide GoogleTV device

Sony has introduced its set-top box for GoogleTV, named Sony NSZ-GS7. This device has an Android operating system and has WiFi and a RJ-45 connector. At the level of video/audio output, it has HDMI input and output and a SPDIF digital audio output.

The price will surely be a problem because it will cost $199, well above its competitors. It Will be available on July 22 in the U.S. and is expected to be available later in Canada, Australia, UK, Germany, France, Brazil and Mexico.

The device also includes an IR receiver and two USB 2.0 ports, which will hopefully allow use as a content unit.

One thing that most stands out is its remote control. It has two faces, on one of them seem to find the most common buttons and a small pad, while in the other we have a qwerty keyboard.
