Shuttle XS36V/XS35V3: new XPC Mini barebones

While Shuttle announced last June the XS35 and XS35V2, the manufacturer today introduced two new barebones for replacing these two models, with the Shuttle XS36V and  XS35V3, dual-core Atom D2700.

At architecture level , it is still in familiar territory as little changed compared to previous models in the range of XPC Mini like the XS35V3, with a motherboard with integrated Intel NM10 Express chipset and two DDR RAM (SO-DIMM) slots, a DVD/CD slot-in and 2.5″ HDD. There is also a 4-in-1 memory card reader  (SD/SDHC/MS/MS PRO), 5 USB 2.0 ports (one front panel case ), HDMI output, Ethernet connectivity and WiFi b/g/n.

News, we note the appearance of the two models of output of a 3.5mm jack and a mic input. Almost identical to the XS35V3, the Shuttle XS36V does not integrates a  slot-in drive, the case is much thinner, but on the other hand it has two RS232 serial ports.

The model Shuttle XS35V3 has a target price of $149 while the XS36V has a slightly higher price.
