Sapphire EDGE-HD Mini PC

Saphhire today announced a new mini PC — the Edge-HD Mini PC.

Touted as the world’s smallest desktop, the machine is less than half a litre in volume, resembling a paperback book in size! What’s further interesting is that it is stylish and quite powerful.

Based on NVIDIA ION 2 platform, the Edge-HD Mini runs Intel Atom D510 1.66GHz processor.

Consuming only around 22W under load, the SAPPHIRE Edge-HD Mini PC uses around 10 times less power than a typical desktop PC – and less than most notebooks – making it one of the Greenest PC solutions available.

Other features include 2GB memory, 250GB hard drive, Ethernet, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, VGA, HDMI, RJ-45 Gigabit Lan, and 4x USB 2.0 Ports. It also comes with a 1GB USB drive (pre-loaded with drivers and manual), 1 x HDMI cable, and 1 x HDMI to DVI adapter.

The Edge-HD comes pre-installed with FREE DOS and is fully compatible with Microsoft Windows7, Vista or Windows XP.

According to the KitGuru, the computer will be sold for about $300 and the bundle contains an HDMI cable with gold plated connectors and a USB thumb drive.
