Palit GT 440 brings the ultimate DX11 and 3D performance to your HTPC

Palit has added yet another card to its product lineup, the GT 440. Although it has nothing to do with the OEM-only GT 440 card released back in November, the new card features 96 stream processors and 1GB of GDDR5 memory paired up with a 128-bit memory interface.

Not to be confused with the OEM-only GT 440 that has 114 SPs and a 192-bit memory interface paired up with GDDR3 memory, Palit’s GT 440 works at 810MHz for the GPU, 1620MHz for those 96 CUDA Cores and 3200MHz for 1GB of GDDR5 memory paired up with a 128-bit memory interface.

Although Palit touts this card as an ultimate DX11 and 3D performance card for the HTPC system we simply can’t see any sense in going for a full-height PCB card when you are building an HTPC, as most of the HTPC cases are meant for low-profile cards. The Palit GT 440 has DVI, VGA and HDMI outputs.

According to our info, the Nvidia GT 440 card should launch tomorrow and we sincerely hope that someone will come up with a low-profile PCB.
