The 960GB Mercury Electra MAX 3G uses SandForce 2181 processor, featuring SandForce DuraClass technologies. There are DuraWrite that extends the endurance; Intelligent Block Management & Wear Leveling that automatically distributes data evenly across the entire SSD; Intelligent Recycling free space management; Intelligent Read Disturb Management as well as RAISE (Redundant Array of Independent Silicon Elements) and built-in ECC protection.
The 2.5-inch 9.5mm SSD comes equipped with Silicon Image SteelVine Sil5923CNU RAID controller, supporting RAID 0/1/10/0+1 and SPAN settings. It also supports 128-bit AES-compliant hardware data encryption. It is priced at $1,299.99.
