Onkyo Adds HT-RC370 and HT-RC360 to their AV Receivers Models

Home theatre expert Onkyo has announced the launch of two new AV receivers, the HT-RC370 and HT-RC360 – designed to replace the company’s existing HT-RC270 and HT-RC260 models respectively.

The new receivers are the company’s first to include the Qdeo 4K video upscaling processor from Marvell, which the company claims provides the best possible image quality when feeding a high-definition TV with standard-definition video sources such as a DVD – and the option to upscale content to the as-yet uncommon 4K ultra-high-definition format in the future.

Both models include a front-panel USB port for connection to an iPod, iPhone, or any USB mass storage device for direct audio playback, along with integrated networking support for streaming media from DLNA-compliant sources and Internet radio stations. For homes that don’t have a convenient network port near their TVs, an optional wireless adaptor is available for both models.

Featuring multiple 3D-capable HDMI inputs and 7.2 channel outputs, Onkyo’s latest receivers include the company’s Wide Range Amplifier Technology – or WRAT – which is designed to provide the maximum audio quality even at higher volumes, while the higher-end HT-RC370 model includes three-stage inverted Darlington circuitry for an improved dynamic range.
