The South Korean group, Samsung, announces the release of a large OLED TV.
After the presentation of a prototype, last January at the CES in Las Vegas, Samsung has announced the marketing of its 55-inch OLED TV and thereafter the opportunity to propose 60 to 75 inches models.
Available in the second half of the year on the South Korean market with the ES9500 reference, it will be sold for around 10 million won, or about $9,000. Nothing has yet been mentioned on a worldwide distribution.
In addition to image quality offered by OLED, it will offer 3D restitution through glasses, screen sharing through two pairs of glasses – 2D display for now - Internet access and voice or gestures control through various sensors.
