OCZ prepares a performance firmware for its Octane SSD

OCZ Techonology has released a new firmware that increases the IOPS performance of their OCZ Octane SSD with 6.0Gbops SATA 3.0, the v1.13 firmware makes the grace and increases the random write performance in 4K blocks more than 50% in some cases, improving overall performance of these units, especially in small files and random access speed.

This firmware will be applied to future Octane OCZ units (based on Everest Indilinx controller) that will be released to the market and for those who already have one of these units OCZ firmware made ‚Äč‚Äčavailable this early in his support page.
