Novo Glaze HTPC Nettop is form and function

Novo Glaze HTPC Nettop

Engadget China reports on a new nettop over there called the Novo Glaze.  It’s a pretty stylish looking nettop already, coming in a multitude of colors, but they’ve also added a big clear block on the end to make a design statement.  I actually kind of like it, although of course, it serves no real purpose and doesn’t make this nettop any more compact.

Having said that, it’s not all form over function.  Under the hood is a dual core Atom 330 processor, paired up with Nvidia’s Ion graphics chipset.  There’s 2gb of RAM to round it off, and we assume a 160 or 250gb hard drive.  Curiously, there’s no built in wifi, so an ugly dongle has to be used.   While we’re on negatives, couldn’t they have used Intel’s new D510 dual core Atom?  It’s probably a moot point anyway, since it’s unlikely we’ll see this nettop outside of China, but we can hope….
