With NH-L9, Noctua is directing to the small form world. Typically to the Mini ITX motherboards screwed in small HTPC boxes. Two models coexist in the range: NH-L9i systems for Intel LGA 115x, and NH-L9A who wants to mount FMx AMD sockets.
The strength of these coolers is to measure only 37mm of thickness: 23mm for the heatsink and 14mm for low profile PWM fan, the NF-A9x14.
The heatsinks have a 95x95mm width for the NH-L9i and 92x114mm for NH-L9A, which corresponds precisely to the AMD and Intel sockets exclusion zones. The coolers will therefore not bump into the RAM or the graphics card.
The bundle includes a LNA adapter for passing the maximum rotation of 2500 to 1800 rpm, and the tube of thermal paste. Both versions are available at the suggested retail price of $50.
