MSI Introduces AMD E350IA-E35 Mini-ITX Motherboard

The AMD Fusion platform looks to be the hot item for the HTPC crowd, and MSI is looking to cater directly to them with its latest product. The MSI E350IA-E45 motherboard packs a new AMD E350 Accelerated Processing Unit (APU) in a mini-ITX form factor. The E350 APU is a 1.6GHz dual-core processor that has a DX11 GPU on the same die in the form of the HD 6310. That combination allows for smooth HD video as well as low-power usage which is ideal for HTPC users. The motherboard has four SATA 6Gbps ports and two USB 3.0 ports to help get you the fastest transfer speeds possible internally and externally. There are two DDR3 slots which supports up to 1333MHz sticks, plus a PCI-e x16 slot if a discrete video option is what you prefer. The PCI-e slot only runs at x4 speeds though so keep that in mind when considering what to populate it with. On the rear you will find an HDMI and D-Sub port plus the 8 channel onboard audio connections and Gigabit Ethernet port.

There was no mention of when the MSI E350IA-E45 motherboard will launch or at what price.
