MSI follows the announcements of its competitors and is also launching its socket FM2 motherboard for new AMD Virgo APU.
Announced at Computex 2012, the MSI A85XA-G65 motherboard is about to arrive to the shops. MSI offers a FM2 socket board which will host the new AMD desktop APU, the Virgo (formerly Trinity), with eight phase power supply for ATX standard.
It comes with four DDR3 memory banks (up to 32 GB and 1066 MHz to 2133 MHz by overclocking), but also two PCI-Express 2.0 x16, three PCI-E 2.0 x1 and two classics PCI. With the AMD A85X chipset the MSI motherboard supports eight SATA III, ten USB 2.0 ports (four on the rear panel and the six front) and four USB 3.0 ports (two rear and two on the front).
The rear panel is also composed of a PS/2 keyboard or mouse, USB ports mentioned above, four video outputs (VGA, DVI-D, HDMI and DisplayPort… hello Eyefinity), the RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet and eight-channel audio outputs THX TruStudio Pro compatible. MSI adds all the common software for the firm as well as full support for overclocking the CPU, memory and GPU.
