Mini projector streams movies and runs on batteries

A small projector (SPR1000) was born of a partnership between the 3M and Roku companies. Really small: the dimensions are 10.9 / 10.6 / 5 cm. All this portability inspired the creators to include some features that make it ideal for anyone who wants to have a big screen experience at home without spending too much.

Among these features, one of the coolest is that the unit runs on batteries that lasts 3 hours (and, of course, can be recharged). The time is long enough to see almost any movie, for example. Is also worth to mention that the projector has a headphone output and a speaker, who want to include friends and family in the home theater session.

The most interesting feature, however, is not in the portability, but in fact the product can be (and here comes the know-how of Roku) to stream videos and movies over the internet. This is possible thanks to a WiFi adapter (which will be sold with the projector) that connects to the device.

The goal here, of course, is not to conquer fanatics huge resolutions and flawless audio. The device projects images with maximum resolution of 800 x 600 pixels and brightness of 60 Lumens. The price, however, pays off: it is estimated to cost about $300.

Amazon will initially exclusivity in selling the product.
