After XS1003D, IconBIT announces a new Android media player, the iconBIT XDS73D. The most interesting feature of this media player, is the presence of the new Realtek RTD1186DD chip, which supports the ISO Blu-ray and 3D Blu-ray.
The IconBIT XDS73D is a media player running Android 2.2 Froyo, with the Realtek RTD1186D chipset that offers Blu-ray 2D and ISO Blu-ray 3D management. It also offers full support for most audio and video formats including MKV, M2TS, DivX, DTS HD, Dolby True HD, FLAC, LPCM, etc.. The XDS73D has a Gigabit connectivity, WiFi (optional module), or a connection consisting of an HDMI 1.4, Component, Composite, S/PDIF, Stereo RCA and USB 2.0/3.0. This player is naturally compatible with UPnP, FTP, and Samba.
The IconBIT XDS73D media player is currently available in Europe at a retail price of 149 euros. No indication of a possible U.S. release for now.
