Hercules XPS: Three new multimedia speaker kits

Hercules, specialized in computer peripherals including audio, has announced the release of three new speaker systems designed to accompany an HTPC. Design, audio quality, bass booster or DJ sound are all highlights of these three kits in the Hercules XPS series.

The Hercules XPS 41 speaker kit consists of two satellite speakers and a subwoofer. It offers a slick design, smart and sober at the same time. The speakers are well-rounded and painted on the top and rubber in the foot. According to Hercules, the XPS 41 speaker kit offers an efficient and balanced sound. The transducers satellite speakers cover a wide spectrum audio supplied by the subwoofer. The set delivers a power of 41 Watts (2 x 8, 5W + 24W). It is controlled by a wired remote with integrated bass control, a mute button, a stereo headphone jack and an auxiliary input to connect any audio source.

The Hercules XPS 41 speaker kit will be available in late June for about $130.

The Hercules XPS 2.1 Bassboost speaker kit is designed for people looking for serious sound. It consists of two satellite speakers and a subwoofer in wood. The latter features a grid in front of the woofer. The satellite speakers can be hung on a wall or placed on a desk. One of them can control the bass, volume and provides an auxiliary audio input and a headphone output jack. The set delivers a total power of 32 Watts (2 x 8W + 16W) and offers a frequency response from 40Hz to 20kHz.

The Hercules XPS 2.1 Bassboost  speaker kit will be available from mid-July for about $80.

Finally, the Hercules XPS 2.0 60 DJ Set speaker kit is for DJ mix lovers. It consists of two satellite speakers with integrated tweeter and a 3-inch woofer with Kevlar membrane to offer a well represented bass through the double vents on the front. The Hercules XPS 2.0 60 DJ Set has an RCA line input,  3.5mm audio jack line input and a headphone output. It can be controoled by the buttons available on a satellite: volume, bass, treble. The set delivers a total power of 30 Watts (2x15W) with a frequency response from 60Hz to 20kHz.

The Hercules XPS 2.0 60 DJ Set speaker kit  will be available in June for about $130.
