HDI Dune HD Max Review

After the Dune BD Prime 3.0, HDI is back with a new hybrid media centre, the Dune HD Max. The Blu-ray player is still there, the finish a notch better and a 3.5-inch hard drive rack has been added. The perfect solution?

Pros

Blu-ray and DVD playback

Excellent support for various multimedia formats / Advanced audio and video configuration

Video jukebox (films and series)

SDHC reader / 7.1 audio analogue

Good SD upscaling / DTS HD MA and Dolby TrueHD support

Cons

Noisy fan

VFD screen limited to 1 line

Mediocre support for external subtitles

Remote not up to standard / USB key required to play all BRs

Basic interface unattractive / No advanced internet services
