Gigabyte launches new LGA775 Motherboard: GA-EG41MFT-US2H

That motherboard manufacturers continue to produce some models, it is not surprising because Intel itself continues to let live (well, survive) the LGA775 platform holding a slight production of some references. But to imagine that a realese of a new Gigabyte model… really odd by the brand at the end of 2011.

The GA-EG41MFT-US2H came back with the 1.4 review, to the delight of those who still continue to be quite satisfied with their Core 2 build configuration. In Micro-ATX format, featuring as its name indicates a G41 chipset, it has more then the integrated graphics chip if needed, complete with VGA, DVI and HDMI outputs. Another cool detail is the presence of 4 DDR3 slots. Beware, however, it will not be possible to place modules larger than 2 GB each, yes the age of 775 catches up quickly at certain limitations, let us not forget!

As for expansion slots, we have two PCI ports, but also two PCIe 1.1: one x16 and other x1. 4 SATA 3Gbps and a good old IDE. USB 2.0, with 4 ports on the rear panel. The gigabit ethernet controller has been updated to RTL8111E. Other features include 8-channel HD audio, Firewire, FDC, COM. It should cost around $100.
