Two new motherboards come to us from Gigabyte, the GA-B75TN and GA-H77TN in a Thin mini-ITX format, which is beginning to make its merry way with a large number of manufacturers, and suits perfectly for integration into an HTPC.
As the references names indicates, these motherboards use B75 and H77 chipset, and therefore the support of Sandy Bridge & Ivy Bridge processors. They can accommodate up to 8 GB DDR3 maximum via two SO-DIMM slots, two SATA 3 slots (1 on B75TN), two SATA 2 (3 on B75TN) and a mSATA port. The H77TN supports RAID 0/1/5/10, while the B75TN only supports VPro. They also have three PCIe, a mini PCi, 4 USB 3.0 ports, 3 USB 2.0 ports, and a Gigabit Ethernet port.
Both cards will also benefit from the IGP processor, we note HDMI, Display Port and LVDS. The audio is directly supported by the Realtek ALC887 chipset.
Gigabyte released a short video demonstration.
