Gigabyte joins MSI in the cheap FM2 motherboards segment. The manufacturer presents the F2A75M-HD2 at a price below $70.
At the micro-ATX format, the F2A75M-HD2 is a motherboard dedicated to the Trinity Virgo APU of AMD. Its great interest is an aggressive price below $70 allowing to mount at a lower cost an office or HTPC dedicated configuration. Built around a FM2 socket, it supports the A75 chipset and two DDR3-1866 MHz slots.
The single 16x PCIe 2.0 is x16 wired and comes with one PCI and one PCIe 1x. The four SATA 6 Gb/s support RAID 0/1/10 modes and four USB 3.0 ports accompany eight USB 2.0 ports, a Gigabit Ethernet port, one serial COM port and VGA, DVI and HDMI outputs.
Gigabyte emphasizes the presence of a UEFI BIOS with 3D BIOS technology and the Dual-BIOS allowing easy system recovery in case of bad setup.
This F2A75M-HD2 looks like a serious competitor to the MSI FM2-A55M-E33.
