Gigabyte C1007UN-D: Celeron Ivy Bridge Mini-ITX Motherboard

Gigabyte has unveiled the C1007UN-D, a Mini-ITX motherboard intended for entry-level desktop or low-power HTPC.

Based on the Intel NM70 chipset, this board features a Celeron 1007U – dual-core Ivy Bridge  processor clocked at 1.5 GHz with 2 MB of L3 cache, all for a TDP of 17W – welded directly to PCB. No need to hope one day to upgrade the CPU on this motherboard…

Other features of the C1007UN-D, there are two connectors DDR3 (for a maximum of 16 GB of memory supported), a SATA 6 Gbps ports, two SATA 3 Gbps, an eSATA connector and a PCI slot. So we note the absence of any PCI-Express or mini-PCIe. Finally, there are VGA and HDMI outputs, two Gigabit Ethernet interfaces, 5.1 HD audio controller, serial and parallel ports, and six USB 2.0 connectors (but no USB 3.0). Gigabyte has not yet announced a price or availability date for this C1007UN-D motherboard.
