Giada continues to develop its range and announces the launch of its new i53, a mini-PC with the size of a book. Besides its size, this mini PC is distinguished by its hardware platform and more specifically its processor, the Core i5 third generation.
Thus, the i53 comes standard with an Intel Core i5 (Ivy Bridge), 4 GB of RAM and a 500 GB hard drive. The manufacturer offers in every case the choice of the processor as if the Core i5 does not fit your needs you can opt for a Core i3 or Core i7. The graphics part is logically assigned to the integrated graphics processors of the third generation, the HD 4000. We find an HDMI and a VGA outputs.
Since i53 is aimed to multimedia use it has a remote control. There’s four USB 2.0 ports, a single USB 3.0 port and standard communication interfaces: Wi-Fi 802.11nand Bluetooth. We’ll have a memory card reader too. The case is 26mm thick, while the thermal envelope of the combination does not exceed the 35 Watts.
Inevitably, with such hardware, the i53 will be more expensive than a similar system based on AMD APU or Intel Atom. Giada announced a retail price of $520 without announcing the availability date.
