Fujitsu launches Esprimo Q900 Mini PC

Several weeks ago Fujitsu announced a new lineup of Lifebook and Esprimo PCs – mostly notebooks greater than 13.3-inch but in particular one product appeals to us above the rest – the Esprimo Q900 Mini PC.

With a footprint roughly the size of a CD cover, the Q900 sports a second generation Intel Core / Celeron processors (Core i5-560M, i3-370M or Celeron P4600), Intel HD graphics, up to 4GB RAM, up to 500GB HDD, 2x USB 3.0 and 4x USB 2.0 ports, DVI, VGA, eSATA, Gigabit LAN, slot-in DVD or Blu-ray drive, optional multi-card reader / Bluetooth / WiFi, and various versions of Windows 7. Consumes 19W of power when idle, compared to 20W for dual core Atom / ION nettops. Weighs 1.4 kg and measures 165 x 168 x 57 mm.

It’s expected out in March in the UK and it should be showing up at CeBIT in the same month. No word on price but it’d be well above the price of any Atom based nettop, that’s for sure.
