Fractal Node 605: an ATX HTPC case

Update: Availability date and price added.

Fractal has unveiled a new HTPC case model: the Fractal Node 605. Imposing, it accepts any motherboard, even in the ATX format.

With a steel chassis and an aluminum front panel, the Node 605 adopts a relatively simple design. There is a slim format bay, two cages for 2.5″ and 3.5″ hard drives (for up to 4 hard drives), a memory card reader, two USB 3.0 and FireWire connectors and front panel audio.

This htpc case also accepts graphics cards with a maximum length of 29 cm, but only if one of the two cages for hard drives is removed. Two 120mm fans are finally delivered to the case, but it can accommodate three more (one of 120 mm and two of 80 mm).

Pity that Fractal has not yet indicated the price or availability date for this product.

The Fractal Node 605 will be available in August with a target price of $159 | €149 | £ 119 | 1399 kr.
