Foxconn has today announced the upcoming European arrival of its newest nettop barebone, the successor to the Atom-powered NT-330i which is known as NT-A3500 and is based on AMD’s first Fusion platform (Brazos).

Seen above, the Brazos barebone measures 190 (W) x 135 (D) x 25 (H) mm, weights just 450 grams, and features an E-350 APU boasting two x86 cores @ 1.6 GHz and Radeon HD 6310 (DirectX 11) graphics, one DDR3-1066 SO-DIMM slot supporting up to a 4GB module, a tray for one 2.5-inch SATA drive, a 5-in-1 card reader, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, two USB 3.0 ports, a DVI and HDMI outputs.

Foxconn’s own like-for-like testing shows the NT-A3500 to be more than twice as fast as the NT-330i it is replacing whilst consuming almost 6 watts less power:

3DMark06 829 1760
Power consumption during 3DMark06 playback 29.6 Watts 23.9 Watts
Power consumption during HD video playback using Power DVD 10 27.3 Watts 23.2 Watts

The NT-A3500 is set to become available in mid-May but it can be found on pre-order priced as low as €169.
