Compulab’s Slick Tegra 2 Nettop Now on Sale

Compulab’s Tegra 2-powered nettop – which debuted in January – has finally gone on sale.

Dubbed “Trim Slice,” the ultra-thin system is targeted specifically at developers rather than the average end-user.

Apparently, the software layer is apparently still very much a work in progress. Nevertheless, Compulab is currently offering three iterations of the nettop:

$199 “Barebones” – No Wi-Fi or storage, which can be added via dongle or MicroSD.

$219 “Value” – Features a 4GB MicroSD card, Wi-Fi dongle and pre-installed ARM version of Ubuntu.

$319 “Pro” – Boasts a 32GB SSD, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth dongle and pre-installed ARM version of Ubuntu.

Additional specs include:

  • 1GHz Nvidia Tegra 2 processor
  • 1GB DDR2 RAM
  • 4x USB 2.0 ports
  • Micro USB
  • Gigabit LAN
  • SD and MicroSD card slots
  • HDMI 1.3a
  • DVI-D up to 1680 x 1050
  • 5.1 channel audio via S/PDIF or HDMI out.
