AMD unveils the Trinity 2nd gen notebook APUs
AMD today unveiled its new processors for notebooks. They promise more graphics power, leaving far behind the Sandy Bridge and Ivy Bridge. All models feature a HD7000 graphics series and will have the AMD HD Media Accelerator designed to improve HD video playback.

AMD-3420 A4 is arriving
According to our colleagues at DonanimHaber, AMD will launch a new dual core, the A4-3420. Compared with the current A4-3400, this APU adds 100 MHz to get 2.8 GHz and retains a GPU with 32 groups vec5 clocked at 600 MHz (Radeon HD 6410D).
This processor had already been announced by AMD in late December but it was so far reserved for OEMs. It should reach the manufacturer’s price list in the coming weeks.
It has a target price of $65.
Atom D2550 : Better Performance for a stable price
Discreetly, Intel has finally launched the Atom D2550, which embodies the first update of the Cedar Trail young platform, launched in the beginning of the year, as expected. It was actually referenced in the Intel’s ARK database.
But the new Atom D2550 is not a minor upgrade to the Atom D2500, it is bringing an increase of frequency, contrary to what one might think.
As expected, this dual core processor actually welcomes the Hyper-Threading, which doubles the number of threads in software, which improves almost all the performance in applications that take advantage of multithreading.

Atom D2550 with faster graphics
Personally the launch of the Atom “Cedar View” has left me disappointed, because the chipset is still the same and therefore has not changed the graphics. In fact, many assemblers have chosen to add a Nvidia graphics to run HD content and play simple games. Unlike the Atom D2700, the D2500 does not support Blu-ray 2.0
The info comes from Fudzilla. It shows that despite the Full HD support, some of the Intel Atom Cedarview do not support Blu-ray 2.0 playback (interaction with BD-Live and BD-Java).

AMD launches 13 new APU
AMD has launched not less than 13 new APU, including 5 for desktop. For most newcomers, it is actually a gain of 100 MHz on the side of the processor frequency while the same pricing in exchange for an increase of 20 on the model number.
