Intel: Eight new entry-level CPUs
In early 2013, Intel introduced several new entry level processors.
These new processors have joined the catalog of the Santa Clara’s giant, namely the Celeron and Pentium and Core i3. Compatible with the LGA1155 socket, they are based on the Ivy Bridge microarchitecture, which will give way to the Haswell platform in next few months.
There are 3 new Celeron:
Celeron G1610: dual core, 2.6 GHz, 2 MB L3 cache, Intel graphics solution at 650-1000 MHz
Celeron G1610T: dual core, 2.3 GHz, 2 MB L3 cache, Intel graphics solution at 650-1000 MHz
Celeron G1620: dual core, 2.7 GHz, 2 MB L3 cache, Intel graphics solution at 650-1000 MHz

Foremay TC166 and SC199: two 2TB 2.5″ SSD
Last week, OWC announced the first 2TB SSD, but with a 3.5″ size. Today, the Foremay company make it better and announces two 2.5 inches modules totaling not less than 2 TB of storage based on MLC chips.
The brand is not stingy with information on these new models that use a SATA II or III according to our information and a SF-1222 controller, up to 250 MB/sec read and write in the TC166 and a SF-2281 for 500 MB/sec read and write in the SC199.
The price is not mentioned, and fortunately in our opinion.
Gigabyte Z77N-Wifi Review
Recently we have seen a mini-ITX Z77 motherboards comparatives, including models from Asus, ASRock, EVGA, MSI or Zotac, but none contained the Gigabyte Z77N-Wifi. The reason probably is that this motherboard is not cut out for the overclocker gamer, it is matted and versatility is its thing. It has everything necessary to be smooth in 2013, with the exception of Thunderbolt that is present on some of the other, but also including Intel WiFi and WiDi.
Overall why is it not specifically intended for overclocker? The reason is to look at its phases, with 4 for the CPU, 1 for PCH and one for RAM. These VRM here do not allow a TDP greater than 125W, and more, there is no option in the bios to change...
ASRock FM2A85X-ITX: new Mini-ITX motherboard with 7 SATA ports
Motherboards combining Mini-ITX and FM2 are quite rare, including the MSI FM2-A75IA-E53 and the ASRock FM2A75M-ITX. ASRock has decided to add this new high-end oriented motherboard, not architected around the A75 chipset but the A85X: the FM2A85X-ITX.
The A85X unlocks the ability to share the 16 PCI-Express of the processor in 2×8, which is of course completely useless on the Mini-ITX format...
CES2013: Western Digital showed its “Black” series hybrid drive (SSHD)
At the CES 2013, Western Digital has shown the hybrid drives units, with a thickness of only 5mm, with a demonstration of performance that places their units very close to a SSD in terms of performance.
Indeed, Western Digital has shown several units of 2.5″ form factor at their Blue and Black series, the latter combine traditional storage (magnetic), with a solid storage using Flash memory...
Silverstone ML04 and ML05: HTPC cases presented at CES2013
By Silverstone, we also have two new cases for the living room, the ML04 and ML05. The first destination is Micro ATX platforms. It offers an aluminum front panel that hides two USB 3.0 and one 5.25″ bay.
Inside, we have a low profile that by cons is not a lot of room with two 3.5″ slots and 4 of 2.5″. The side of the fan, we have 4 modules of 80 mm. The power supply is SFX type.
For...
Mushkin Chronos Deluxe SSD: 960GB!!!
Mushkin recently talked about a new Chronos Deluxe SSD, totaling not less than 960GB of storage space, ideal to paste games. The brand does not give details about the bowels of the beast, although, historically, the Chronos are a SandForce based solution, probably in SF-2281 for this SATA III model.
Price not mentioned yet, but it should be released on February. To be continued.
