Shuttle updates its Slim PC line with the arrival of the XS35, with passive cooling solutions.
The third generation of the XS35 series comes in two main versions with an onboard graphics solution (processor) or with a dedicated graphics card. Especially, the XS35V3 and the XS35GTA V3, are both designed around a Intel Cedar Trail platform based on the NM10 Express chipset and a dual-core Atom D2700 clocked at 2.13GHz and backed with a GMA 3650 at 650 MHz .
They present themselves as Barebones, indicating that you should add more RAM, hard disk and operating system. Up to 4GB of DDR3-1066 SO-DIMM is supported by the presence of two slots. The whole configuration is presented in a small form factor case with dimensions of 25.2 x 16.2 x 3.85 cm and weighs 2.1 kg. Cooling has the distinction of being completely fanless. On this point, Shuttle indicates that use 24/7 is not a problem.
Optional DVD or Blu-Ray can be installed while a card reader, Ethernet port, five USB 2.0 porst and a WLAN 802.11 b/g/n module are present. The XS35GTA V3 take its side to a Radeon HD 7410 solution equipped with 512 MB of DDR3 at 800 MHz allowing to have a second HDMI output in addition to VGA.
Note that these solutions can work vertically, on its foot support, or fixed with a VESA mount.
These XS35V3 and XS35GTA V2 are available now presenting, respectively, the prices of $209 and $299.
