Atom Valleyview: Specifications

New information comes to appear about the next generation of Intel Atom low-power processor. Carrying the Valleyview code name, they promise a significant increase in graphics performance.

According to Vr-Zone, Valleyview propos,e in its desktop version, a frequency up to 1.9 GHz. With a constraint to maintain a thermal envelope as low as possible (10 Watts?), chances are that the quad-core versions are significantly slower. The graphics, which will be borrowed from Ivy Bridge, should run at a speed twice as important as 667 MHz.

The mobile versions should in turn, lock to a maximum of 1.5 GHz and a dual-core architecture. The TDP will be only 3 Watts with the graphics running at 350MHz or 50MHz lower than the frequency of the N2600 Atom GPU.
