ASUS P8Z77-I DELUXE: new mini-ITX Z77 Motherboard

ASUS unveiled a new mini-ITX motherboard based on the Intel Z77 chipset, supporting LGA1155 processors, the P8Z77-I Deluxe. P8Z77-I Deluxe features a 10-phase digital power design, complete with chokes, drivers, and FETs, and a MOSFET heatsink.

This board is one of the few of its form-factor that draws power from an 8-pin EPS, apart from the 24-pin ATX. It also features two DDR3 DIMM slots, one PCIe 3.0/2.0 x16 slot, Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi. In terms of connectivity ports, it has two SATA 6.0 Gbps, two SATA 3.0 Gbps, two eSATA, four USB 3.0, four USB 2.0, DVI, DisplayPort, DVI-I and Gigabit Ethernet.

Pricing and release date are still unknown at the moment.

    I like the looks of this board. It has a display port first of all; I’ve been using 2560×1600 for my itx boxes for years and I won’t build with any mini-itx motherboard that does not have a displayport. Airflow on the cases I’ve used normally goes from side-to-side so having the power connectors, memory, and sata at the front of the board works out really well for airflow.
