ASUS has enhanced its motherboards range by introducing 4 new FM2 socket models specially designed for the upcoming AMD Trinity second generation APU and Athlon II processors of FM2 socket. These boards are based on AMD A85X FCH (Hudson D4) chipset and come in ATX and microATX format.
The new models introduced by ASUS are: F2A85-V PRO, F2A85-M PRO, F2A85-M and F2A85-M LE, all with support for AMD Dual Graphics Technology, among other features that can be seen in the comparison table.
The ASUS F2A85 series has unique features like Dual Intelligent Processors 3 (DIP3) with a new DIGI + Power Controls to save up to 65% of the energy of the system, the GPU Boost feature improves the performance of integrated graphics in up 17%.
Meanwhile the simple BIOS flashing method eases the recovery work due to technical problems, by just inserting a USB flash drive with the BIOS and pressing a button for 3 seconds, automatically updates the board or re-flashes the damaged BIOS, this among other features like Remote GO for wireless connection of devices such as PCs, tablets, smartphones and TVs.
