AMD E-450 APU Preview @ Computex 2011

Here is something new at PowerColor’s booth, an E-450 motherboard.

PowerColor’s main business is graphics cards, but it seems they have decided to make some Fusion motherboards as well. This board looks like an early sample, and also appears to have either a mini PCIe or mSATA connector.

The chip has a clock speed of 1.65 GHz, as well as the Turbo Core technology, which can boost the performance of one core by lowing down the other.

Also, DDR3 memory is supported (frequency of up to 1,333 MHz), while the built-in DirectX 11 graphics solution is the Radeon HD 6320 with the same number of stream processors as the HD 6310 but faster clockspeeds.

Of course, this is just an early sample, and one shouldn’t be too quick to hope the new APU will start selling all that soon.
