A passive micro tower by HFX

The Austrian HFX has unveiled the update of its headlight unit: the Micro Tower.

Specialist in passive solutions, HFX takes advantage of the slight redesign of the case to move from the “multimedia box” format to the more conventional tower.

The Tower Micro V2 is a Mini-ITX case that opens doors to many possibilities: Two 2.5″ bays allowing the installation of one or more storage units in their respective formats (all in-house of course).

The box also accepts a slim optical drive identical to those found especially on laptops.

It will avenge in ensuring that the chosen processor is well below the 35 Watt thermal envelope. We find for example in mobile processors or even in Celeron Ivy Bridge generation at around 30 and 17 watts repectively.

With 3 kg and dimensions of 8 x 26 x 29 cm, the Micro Tower V2 charges its compactness: it takes about 199 euros (excluding postage) at hfx.at.
